Understanding the Highest Rank in Search filter
The posts consumers see first do the most damage. Highest Rank in Search is the best search position Zeal has ever recorded for a post across any of your tracked keywords, so you can prioritise the most visible, highest-risk posts.
1. How it works
Zeal looks at every keyword a post has matched and keeps its best (lowest) position.
High visibility: a post that ranks 1st for one keyword and 20th for another has a Highest Rank in Search of 1.
Low visibility: a post that ranks 83rd for one keyword and 120th for another has a Highest Rank in Search of 83.
Note: This measures search position, not how many keywords a post matches. The lower the number, the more visible the post.
2. How to use the filter
Use the from and to range selectors to focus on a level of visibility:
To find… | Set the range to | What it means |
High-risk posts | 1 to 10 | First page of results, so review these first |
Medium-risk posts | 11 to 30 | Roughly pages 2 and 3 |
Low-visibility posts | 50 or more | Unlikely to be seen by consumers |
