Labels

Create and customise the labels that classify posts, images, accounts and websites, and decide what can be enforced.

In short: Labels classify every post, image, account and website in Zeal, from Counterfeit to Legitimate, and decide whether an item is an infringement and whether it can be enforced.

Understanding Labels

Labels are the categories or infringement types used to classify content across Zeal. They organise posts, images, sellers and websites based on the signals they present, giving you a clear, consistent view of risk and legitimacy across all content.

Labels are applied automatically through Auto-Moderation rules or manually by moderators, and exist at several levels:

  • Post Labels: classify listings, often aligned with takedown reasons.

  • Image Labels: categorise individual images.

  • Website / Account Labels: classify seller accounts or domains, including identifying trusted or whitelisted entities.

Note: Labels are customisable: you can create labels with any name and colour to represent infringement types, trust levels or any classification your workflow needs.

1. What you need to know

Some labels are already set up for you, and only Admins can change them.

  • Client migration: existing labels from Talisman & Zero (such as Counterfeit, Trademark Abuse and Legitimate) are already added and available on the Settings page.

  • Default labels: applied to every account (Legitimate Sellers / Counterfeit / Trademark / Design Infringement).

  • Roles and permissions: all users can view labels; only Admins can modify them.

2. How to create a label

Create your own labels when the defaults don't reflect how your Program classifies content.

  1. Go to Settings → Moderation → Labels.

  2. Select the tab you want to create the label for: Posts, Images, Accounts or Websites.

  3. Click the + icon or Add New Label.

  4. Choose a color: select a colour to help visually identify the label.

  5. Name the label: enter a clear name (e.g. Counterfeit, Legitimate, Suspicious).

  6. Set the infringement options, if applicable: toggle Infringement on if the label represents an infringement type, and Actionable on if the label should be available for enforcement actions.

  7. Click Save Changes.

Important: Only labels with Actionable switched on are available for enforcement, so check this toggle on every infringement label you create.

3. Labels glossary

Use the glossary to pick the most specific label for what you're seeing.
