IP Certificates

Store IP Certificates and connect them to IP Assets for enforcement.

In short: Store your IP Certificates in Zeal, in bulk or one by one, and link each to an IP Asset and its Removal Reasons so enforcement can be automated.

Understanding IP Certificates

IP Certificates prove protection and give the brand the right to enforce. Storing them in Zeal means enforcement actions can be automated, so make sure your certificates cover the right regions and products within the brand's enforcement scope.

Before you start, check that:

  • You have the Admin, Account Executive or Enforcer role in the platform.

  • You have all the IP Certificate details from the client.

  • You've configured the Brand and added IP Assets.

Must-have outcomes:

  • Every IP Certificate is linked to an IP Asset.

  • Every IP Certificate is linked to the relevant Removal Reasons (for example trademark abuse or counterfeit).

1. Open IP Certificates

This is where all your certificates are stored and managed.

  1. Go to Settings → IP Portfolio → IP Certificates.

From here there are two ways to add certificate information: upload in bulk with the Excel template, or add certificates one at a time.
