Understanding the Date filter
Use the Date filter to focus on a time period. You choose two things: the date range, and the activity date it applies to, such as when an item was crawled, moderated or taken down.
1. Date range
Examples assume it’s 5pm on 30 July.

Past day | Yesterday, plus today so far | 12am 29 Jul to 5pm 30 Jul |
Past week | The last 7 days, including today | 23 Jul to 30 Jul |
Last 30 days | The last 30 days, including today | 30 Jun to 30 Jul |
Past three months | The last 90 days, including today | 1 May to 30 Jul |
Past six months | The last 6 months, including today | 30 Jan to 30 Jul |
Past year | The last 365 days, including today | 30 Jul last year to 30 Jul |
Previous month | The last complete month | 1 Jun to 30 Jun |
This month | The whole of the current month | 1 Jul to 31 Jul |
Exact dates | A date range you choose (inclusive) | – |
On or after | The date you choose and everything after it | 29 Jul onwards |
Until today | Any date up to and including today | Up to 30 Jul |
Before two days ago | Any date up to two days ago | Up to 28 Jul |
Tip: Many views default to Last 30 days. To see everything, including older items, choose Until today.

2. Activity date
Choose which date the range applies to.

Crawling Date | the item was collected into Zeal (the post, image, account or website, depending on the view) |
Post Crawling Date | the post was collected into Zeal |
Post Publishing Date | the post was published on its original platform |
Moderation Date | the item was moderated |
Check Date | the item was quality checked |
Validation Date | the item was validated |
Takedown Sent | the item was first sent for takedown and tagged as sent (TRS) |
Takedown Date | the item was first detected as offline or removed |
Last Takedown Check Date | the item’s takedown status was last checked |
Last Activity | the post or account was most recently crawled |
Comment Date | a comment was left on the item |
Date of Tagging | the item was last tagged |
Domain Created Date | the domain was first registered (from WHOIS) |
Domain Data Updated | Zeal last refreshed the domain’s details, such as registrant and registrar |
