IP Portal Auto-Enforcement Configuration

Learn how to configure IP Portal-based automatic enforcement for supported domains.

In short: To auto-enforce through a platform's IP Portal, add its domains with the IP Portal method and Automatic system, save your portal login, and, for Shopee, make sure your brand details match the portal exactly.

Understanding IP Portal Auto-Enforcement

Some marketplaces accept takedown requests through their own IP Portal. Once it's configured, Zeal can submit enforcements to these portals automatically, so you don't have to log in and file each one by hand.

The following domains are available for IP Portal auto-enforcement:

  • Shopee

  • Alibaba

  • AliExpress

  • Lazada

  • Miravia

1. Set up Shopee domains and credentials

This tells Zeal to enforce on Shopee through its IP Portal, and gives it the login it needs to do so.

Add the Shopee domains

  1. Open Settings → Enforce → Enforced Domains and click the Add (+) button to create a new domain entry.

  2. Use the search to find and select all Shopee domains.

  3. Set the Method to IP Portal and the System to Automatic.

Note: shopee.tw is currently being reworked by our product team, so enforcement on it is manual for now, as shown above.

Add your Shopee Portal login

  1. Go to Enforce → Platform Credentials and click the Add (+) button to create new platform credentials.

  2. Select Manual Credentials, then select all Shopee domains from the platforms dropdown.

  3. Set the type to Login and enter your Shopee Portal login credentials in the username and password fields.

  4. Click Save.

2. Match your brand details to the Shopee IP Portal

This step is critical for successful auto-enforcement on Shopee: if your details don't match the portal, enforcements fail.

Many organisations use different brand names in Zeal and in the Shopee IP Portal, which causes auto-enforcement mismatches. Two fields solve this:

  • Alternative Name (in the IP Assets section): enter the brand name exactly as it appears in the Shopee IP Portal.

  • Platform Compatibility (in the IP Certificates section): after updating the Alternative Name, go to IP Certificates, edit the relevant certificate and add "Shopee" to the Platform Compatibility field.

In the example below, the IP Asset “PlayStation Buttons” is linked to the brand Sony. However, since the Shopee IP Portal lists this asset under the brand “PS Symbols”, the Alternative Name field has been updated to “PS Symbols”.

Then add Shopee to the certificate's Platform Compatibility field:

You need to fill in the Alternative Name (IP Assets) and Platform Compatibility (IP Certificates) fields for all assets and certificates you'll use for Shopee enforcement.

Important: The Region, Brand, Type of IP and IP Registration Number must exactly match the data in the Shopee IP Portal, and all values are case-sensitive (e.g., Sony ≠ SONY).

You're now set up for automated enforcement on Shopee through IP Portal. What to do next: test the setup by sending an automated enforcement to Shopee through Zeal.

3. Set up Alibaba, AliExpress, Lazada and Miravia

This enables automated IP Portal enforcement across the Alibaba Group platforms.

Add the Alibaba Group domains

  1. Open Settings → Enforce → Enforced Domains and click the Add (+) button to create a new domain entry.

  2. Use the search to find and select all Alibaba, AliExpress, Lazada and Miravia domains.

  3. Set the Method to IP Portal and the System to Automatic.

Add your Alibaba Group portal login

  1. Go to Enforce → Platform Credentials and click the Add (+) button to create new platform credentials.

  2. Select Manual Credentials, then select all Alibaba, AliExpress, Lazada and Miravia domains from the platforms dropdown.

  3. Set the type to Login and enter your Alibaba, AliExpress, Lazada or Miravia portal login credentials in the username and password fields.

  4. Click Save.

Note: Alibaba, AliExpress, Lazada and Miravia all belong to the Alibaba Group, so the Alibaba Portal login is usually the same for all of them.

You're now set up for automated enforcement on Alibaba, AliExpress, Lazada and Miravia through IP Portal. What to do next: test the setup by sending an automated enforcement in Notice View.
